FAN CLUB BY CÉCILE FRICKER LEHANNEUR OF BAND OF SISTERS
In this Fan Club, Cécile shares those places and things that inspire her, entertain her and keep her in shape. Many run by women…
Catalina Denis opened this space last year in an old church with an ivy covered façade. Catalina is a marvellous woman and a real yogini. She studied with Gérard Arnaud, a reference in vinyasa hatha yoga in France. The place wears its name well, as teaching styles practice patience and tolerance. Everything is high quality and high vibes.
LA MANDARINE BLANCHE
I just met Emmanuelle Capus, and tested her facial treatment and she’s fantastic. I love The Mandarine Blanche promises a ‘meaningful and conscious massage' and aims to ‘reconnect you with yourself for 1H30, listen and hear what our body has to say to you.’ During the massage, Emmanuelle applies more than 48 different maneuvers (smoothing, kneading, vibrations...), inspired by the Kobido method, a very technical and ancient Japanese ritual intervening on the meridians as well as acupuncture points that help rebalance the energy flow of the face as well as the neck. An amazing experience!
MY COACH MARK JOSEPH
My beloved coach! A former pro boxer, mark made his career in the USA. He taught me to hit - at first a real taboo...but i’ve gotten past it! He is such an honest and respectful athlete. I find it is impossible not to give my very best when training with him. I am more of a yogini by nature than a boxer, but I love this sport. Mostly because with him I learn more about myself and my skills improve every week.
I need to live among plants and flowers. Every day, Racine paris concocts a different seasonal bouquet. It is possible to subscribe for a month, two or three. A good way to bring cheerfulness and beauty into the home and at a reasonable price (100 euros a month). I also love Castor, a floral artist whose bouquets are all custom creations.
I'm a fan of Z&MA, a 100% organic cosmetics brand made in France and founded by two great women, Virginie Chabran and Delphine Garbois. Products, smells, textures...I like it all! The brand targets millennial customers and most of their products are designed for young skins - but I don’t care, I use them anyway. I love so many of their products. Among my favs: the deodorant for girls.
I have to pay attention to what I eat because I have lactose and gluten intolerances. At Noglu, my friend (and Band of Sisters member) Frédérique Jules’ restaurant, my appetite can fully express itself! They are located in the Passage des Panoramas and also on the Rue de Grenelle (my favorite, as my husband did the interior design). You can also order your lunch to take away. And I love their cookbook!
Molli is a sublime brand from France and Italy that has had a rebirth in the past few years thanks to the vision and talent of Charlotte de Fayet, who’s the CEO of the brand. Most of the pieces are in soft merino and the designs perfectly balance between modernity and tradition. I love the fact that you can customize your pieces with a cross stitch (it reminds me of my childhood). I also advise their birth iconic pieces for nice gifts!
SCHOOL OF JEWELRY ARTS, WITH THE SUPPORT OF VAN CLEEF & ARPELS
A unique place to learn the basics of jewelry making in a beautiful cocoon, close to the place Vendôme. The school offers courses, exhibitions, conferences and a library. The entire team welcomes and shares with passion. I recommend the introductory course for anyone passionate about jewelry. Two and a half hours to discover stones, styles and savoir-faire, all taught by a professor and art historian.
